Oats is a 100% free, privacy-first AI meeting notetaker designed to ensure your conversations never leave your computer. Built for both Mac and Windows users, Oats addresses the major privacy concerns and high costs associated with traditional meeting assistants.
While many modern notetakers have stopped sending calendar bots, they typically still upload your sensitive conversations to their cloud servers and charge upwards of $18 per month. Oats takes a fundamentally different approach: transcription happens entirely on-device, requiring no account, no cloud storage, and no costly subscription.
Users can type their own notes during a meeting and let Oats intelligently blend them with the local transcript to create a clean, comprehensive write-up. You have the flexibility to bring your own model key or stay fully offline, putting you completely in control of your data and workflow.
Yes, Oats is 100% free because it runs entirely on your machine rather than a developer's cloud infrastructure, meaning there are no hidden subscription costs.
