Notebook OS is designed as the missing operating system layer for Gemini Notebook. While Gemini Notebook excels at high-level thinking, users often face tedious friction points such as copy-pasting URLs, hunting down academic papers across multiple tabs, re-typing repetitive instructions every session, and dealing with watermarks on exported decks.

Notebook OS successfully bridges these gaps by removing routine friction. Key enhancements include one-click integrations for YouTube and academic sources, direct voice notes into your notebook, customizable Skills that remember your unique workflows, Studio recipes for rapidly generating decks, reports, and quizzes, and a clean, watermark-free presenting experience.
