Jharu - A disk cleaner that can think is a free, open-source disk cleaning utility designed specifically for macOS and Windows. Unlike traditional storage management tools, Jharu is built to understand modern developer clutter and AI model weights that often consume massive amounts of hard drive space.

As an alternative to tools like CleanMyMac, Jharu helps users reclaim gigabytes of storage by targeting hidden caches including Hugging Face, Ollama, PyTorch model caches, npm and pip packages, and miscellaneous application leftovers. Developed by Ripon Chandra Malo as part of Matily, Jharu emphasizes user privacy and safety with zero telemetry and a design that ensures nothing is permanently deleted without user intent.

Pros of Jharu -A disk cleaner that can think.

Free and open-source software
Understands modern AI model and developer caches (Hugging Face, Ollama, PyTorch, npm, pip)
Available for both macOS and Windows
Privacy-focused with zero telemetry and safe file handling

Cons of Jharu -A disk cleaner that can think.

Limited to specific developer and AI file types and caches mentioned
May require manual review of what to clean to avoid removing active dependencies
Fewer advanced system-tweaking features compared to paid enterprise alternatives
