About whereabouts
Whereabouts positions itself as the ultimate "Shopify for event hosting," designed specifically for creators and organizers who run intimate gatherings such as dinners, pop-ups, and exhibitions for 15–50 guests. Traditionally, independent event hosts have had to juggle five or more different applications, endure week-long payouts, and suffer through platform fees of at least 10%—all while lacking a portable reputation that can travel with them across different platforms.
Available on both iOS and the web, Whereabouts consolidates the entire lifecycle of event management into a single platform. It streamlines planning, promotion, payments, and audience growth. Key highlights include AI guest matching, a competitive 3% processing fee, and a portable host reputation that allows your track record to compound and grow over time.
Pros of whereabouts
- Consolidates planning, promotion, payments, and growth into a single app
- Low 3% processing fee, which is among the lowest in the industry

- Available natively on iOS and the web
Cons of whereabouts
- Targeted primarily at specific types of mid-sized events (15–50 guests like dinners and pop-ups)
- Represents a newer tool ecosystem compared to legacy event platforms
- Requires migrating away from multi-app workflows
