About Spot Gift
Spot Gift is an innovative iOS tool designed to make the classic gesture of saying “coffee’s on me” seamless, personal, and immediate right inside iMessage.
Sometimes you want to do more than just send a text message, but coordinating a delivery service can be cumbersome or the timing might be entirely wrong. Spot bridges this gap by allowing you to send a specific café item directly to a friend, coworker, or partner through iMessage. The recipient doesn't have to use it immediately; instead, they can effortlessly save the item to their Apple Wallet and redeem it in-store whenever they choose.
Created by makers Tristan Shin and Anish Karthik, Spot offers a thoughtful alternative to sending impersonal cash or generic gift cards, giving you a personal way to say thanks, cheer someone up, or share a favorite treat.
Pros of Spot Gift
- Integrates directly into iMessage for frictionless gifting
- Allows sending specific café items instead of generic gift cards

- Flexible redemption lets users pick up their treat in-store whenever they want
