About App Archiver
App Archiver is a dedicated macOS utility designed to help users reclaim valuable disk space from applications that are rarely used. Unlike traditional cache cleaners that only target temporary files, App Archiver creates lasting storage savings by directly interacting with the applications themselves.
Developed by C++ developer and CEO/CTO Ighor July, the tool offers flexible optimization methods. You can optimize installed apps using native macOS compression, archive them in-place as lightweight restorable app bundles, or create verified ZIP and DMG backups. Best of all, archived apps remain visible in your /Applications folder as well as through search tools like Spotlight, Alfred, and Raycast, allowing you to restore them with a single click whenever needed.
Focused heavily on privacy and performance, App Archiver runs entirely locally on your Mac. It requires no internet access and performs zero data collection.
